Earliest Pregnancy Test

At times, women will be very eager to look at the pregnancy test results, which tempts the women to take up the fastest pregnancy test no matter whatever it costs. This will create in their minds a question as to which is the earliest pregnancy tests among all the pregnancy tests.

Types of Pregnancy Tests

Generally there are two types of pregnancy tests. They are blood pregnancy tests and home pregnancy tests. In Home pregnancy test there are a variety of tests. Among them the fastest and reliable pregnancy test is the fast response pregnancy test. It has the ability to detect the pregnancy on the first day of missed periods. It is the time when the fertilized egg attaches themselves on the uterine wall.

Sensitivity variations

The pregnancy is detected by the hCG hormone which is produced by the placenta. The amount of hCG will double in each two day in a pregnant lady. Thus if the capability of detecting the hCG level using fast response is 12.5mIU, then the Equate with 25mIU sensitivity test has to be performed two days latter. Thus as the capability of the pregnancy test to detect the hCG content increases, so is the cost of the pregnancy kit decreases. In Equate brand of pregnancy test there are two types, one is more sensitive one which has sensitivity of 25mIU and the other one is 100mIU. In the market there will not be any information about the sensitivity of the pregnancy test kit over the box of the kit. We have to be very careful while getting the pregnancy kit. Sometimes we may get the pregnancy kit which has very good sensitivity during the late days of pregnancy which is unnecessary since an ordinary cheap pregnancy test can detect the pregnancy in the latter stages of pregnancy.

Blood Pregnancy Test

Though home pregnancy test has very good sensitivity, it is no where when compared with the blood pregnancy test. The amount of hCG in the blood will be very high compared to the amount present in the urine. Thus we will be able to detect the pregnancy easily from the blood than from urine. The only drawback which people feel about blood pregnancy test is that it takes time to get an appointment from the doctor and consult him to take the blood test. Where as the home pregnancy tests are simple and it could be done by themselves.

Thus though the blood pregnancy test is the earliest pregnancy test, it is not so convenient as the home pregnancy tests. Thus people prefer to take up the tests which are cheaper and good sensitivity, like the Equate.
