Best Home Pregnancy Test

There has been lot of discussions among the researches about which is the best pregnancy test existing in the market. In 2003, there has been researches in this regard which showed the early response test to be the best pregnancy test among all the home pregnancy test as it has the capability to detect the smallest amount of the hCG levels in the blood.

Research Finding of Various Pregnancy Tests

It has been arrived at a conclusion that among the 18 home pregnancy test kits that was taken into consideration, very few proves to be very effective in detecting the smallest levels of hCG  contents. The best pregnancy test has been able to detect the hCG level of 6.5mIU. this was considered as the first response among all the other pregnancy tests. The next best pregnancy test was able to detect the hCG level of about 25mIU. The remaining pregnancy tests was able to detect only about 100mIU which was far from best comparing the first response pregnancy test.

The hCG levels in the blood is directly proportional to the number of days of pregnancy. The 6.5mIU level of hCG is attained at the moment when the fertilized egg gets attached with the uterine wall. Actually the hCG level doubles every two days during pregnancy.

Latest Home Pregnancy Test Kits

The pregnancy test kits has been in existence since 1978. From then, there has been lot of improvements. Previously the test results was interpreted in analog format like finding the existence of a line for a positive results. As there was a confusion regarding the darkness of the lines, it proved to be difficult for the users. The latest improvement has been the digitalization of the test kit thus making it is easy to interpret the result of the pregnancy test. This has eased the usability of these test kits because there was no more confusion regarding the change in the color of strip or existence of the line on the strip. The EPT pregnancy test has been the earliest pregnancy test. It was able to detect hCG level as low as 40mIU. Now after lot of improvements, EPT kit is available in digital model. Even today EPT pregnancy test has been the most reliable test kit today available in the market. But it still is not able to get past the First Response level of 6.5mIU.

Thus whether the best pregnancy test is been used or not, it is advised to consult a doctor once the women is having any doubts of a pregnancy.
