Sex During the Pregnancy

Can you have sexual contacts during the pregnancy? Absolutely! In the case of a normal pregnancy, you can do that until your water is broken. But you have to see a doctor in the following cases:

• You are treated for a premature pregnancy
• The cervix is dilated and short
• The bleeding or suspicious placenta
• Miss carriage in the past

As long as the pregnancy is normal, you will not injure your baby if you have sex, even if your partner stays over you. The thin mucus layer which covers the cervix has as purpose to protect the baby against the infections, the same purpose have the amniotic bag and the strong muscles of the uterus. Even if the baby will move after an orgasm this thing is not because he feels any pain or what happens but because of your intense activity of your heart.

Will there be the same pleasure?

It will be better or not depending on every woman. The increase of the blood's circulation from the pelvic area can produce the growth of ovaries and the intensification of the sensation. But this growth can produce pleasure for some women, and discomfort to the others. Some women can have stomachache during the sexual contact and the breasts can became bigger and smoother. It is possible to have vaginal secretion and it very probable to confuse these secretions with the broking of the water, when this it happens, the feeling is of slow secretion, as compared to the vaginal secretions which give the impression of continuous secretions.

In most of the cases is indicated to continue having sexual contacts during your pregnancy but this thing should be confirmed by a doctor.

There is no proof that if you have sexual contact in the third semester of pregnancy you could have a premature labor, and studies are showing that there is no proof that would indicate that a sexual contact during your pregnancy will affect the weight or the height of the baby.

Usually some hormones produce the labor, though these are not in a necessary quantity for doing this thing, and the fact that you have sexual contact during the pregnancy will not cause the breaking membranes. Every couple’s experience is unique. A woman’s relations are strictly related to her pregnancy’s stadium, and the men relations are being constant during this period.
