Fetal Movement

The best moment for the mother to be will be when she will feel the first fetal movement. And this happens somewhere around 16-20 weeks of the female’s pregnancy. Now, what do women call them? Some women call that they feel butterflies in their stomach. Some females describe this movement as butterfly movements. Some females feel that popcorns are popping in the tummies. Some women say that there are bubbles in their abdomen and so on.

But whatever the feeling is, it is a mixed thing which involves a bit of discomfort and some amount of happiness also. When you are sitting quietly, you will be able to hear these flutters frequently. Some women get tensed when they hear such movements. But when the doctors tell them that this is something normal they feel good.

In the second trimester most women are waiting for the baby’s movement but they are simply unsure as to whether they will feel such movements or not. And suppose if they do not feel them they get a bit upset. But when the flutter starts there is no other joy like that. And it will also make the other family members very happy.

Now, if you are pregnant with a single baby then the kicks will not be much prominent. But with twin baby in the pregnancy things are going to be very different. Some women start waiting for the fetal movements just with the inception of pregnancy. But it is not so. This will happen mainly after week 20th.

Now, there is start of the third trimester. As the baby grows more and more there will be more flutters. With people having pregnancies there are many kinds of nervousness and doubts. You may talk to your doctor if you want and you may even take advice of your friends and relatives on this matter. If you want to know the exact number of kicks then you must lay down. Drink glass of water. Stay relaxed. You may also drink something that is quite sweet.

All these things will help you in concentrating on the baby’s movements. In the late pregnancy you will be feeling whole lot of movements. Baby wants to come out of the room and this space is less for it. It wants more space and more playing time.

Pregnancy is really a very different experience. Rather than getting stressed in this time it is better to enjoy each and every moment that is connected with pregnancy. You must understand that baby bearing is whole new experience of your lifetime. There will be a few problems and a few positives. You will have to feel all these experiences. Then only you will be able to enjoy the pregnancy as a whole.

If you feel something weird and abnormal then you must ask for medical help. In pregnancy it would be apt that you must not take any risk. This will give you proper treatment whenever you need it. Don’t ignore abnormal things in pregnancy. And don’t get tensed at small things either.
