Average Time to Conceive

If you are trying to conceive then this waiting may look like ages before you conceive and sometimes you may need to seek help from any fertility clinic to further your chances of conceiving quickly.

Average time required to conceive

You may feel low when you try and don’t conceive as quickly as some of your friends and relatives. As such there is no real time limit for conceiving as some conceive almost immediately while some may take years before they conceive. If you are taking a long time to conceive then you may feel this waiting has gone on for ages and this thinking may hinder your chances of conceiving.

Factors that affect conception

When you see the reasons for you’re not conceiving then you will understand that there are a number of factors that are co-related to your not conceiving. The reasons can be varied like the mobility of sperms, the time you have an intercourse also plays an important role and your overall health all these factors play an important role.

Ovulation time

You need to note when you have your periods and then chart this out as the perfect time for ovulation is from the 14th day after you get your monthly periods. If you don’t menstruate regularly then you can go in for a basal body temperature which will indicate the ovulation period thus you can plan out your intercourse time and conceive.

Modern medicines

There are medicines which even after stopping may hinder your chances of conceiving especially those birth control pills. Though it may be hard to conceive right away after the discontinuation of this medicine you can try hard for a couple of months you will surely conceive.

Problem of irregular menstrual cycle

In most cases women start ovulating around the 14th day after their menstrual cycle there are some who ovulate either before or after the 14th day depending upon the body constituent. This ovulation period can sometimes go off schedule due to health reasons, mental stress or hormonal imbalance which can affect your chances of conceiving. There are many ovulation predictors available in the market to help you keep a track of your ovulation period.

Good health and its importance

Obesity, hormonal imbalance, stress, strain, illness, malnutrition etc can hinder your chances of conceiving. Too much of alcohol intake, use of drugs all have harmful side effects both on you as well as your unborn baby. And if you are planning to conceive then you should consult your gynecologist and change your living style so that your chances of conceiving will increase.

How long do you wait to conceive?

If you are below the age 35years and have tried to conceive without any success then you need to fix an appointment with your gynecologist to ascertain the reason for the delay in conceiving. If medicines like Clomid fail then you can use the modern day technique of conceiving i.e. through intrauterine insemination of IVF. Low sperm count; low motility rate can also cause infertility.

Stop worrying and take care of your health is the first piece of advice to conceive quickly.
