Child Day Care

Child Day Care are very popular in the United States. This is because the women there are work even after having babies. And thus almost 25 percent of the children under the age of 5 years are sent to organized and reputed day care centres.

There is so much said and written about the kind of knowledge a child must be given and the kind of nurturing and development babies need. Thus this is really a debatable issue as to whether child day care is really practical and a good option. This is the place where children spend almost 50 hours per week. Is the environment available there suitable for the baby?

Here are some of the positives about day care centres. Many women like their children sending to the child day care. This is because here the children gets chance to interact with other children which makes the child bolder and communicative. Also he learns certain basic principles like sharing and caring. Even the parents take up parenting duties nicely after returning back. At day care centres children learn many different activities and thus they stay alert and active. They learn as to how to work with teamwork. They also develop better creativity and other skills that help them for their lifetime.

However, there are a few instances that have come into picture that say about child neglect and abuse. But if the child is sent to a reputed and a good quality child day care centre then there won’t be such problems.

As per some studies, it is believed that children who go to day care centres often get sick as compared to children who stay at home. But again, in contrast there are some other researches and studies that indicate that children who visit day care centres meet many children and thus they are happy children. This makes their immunity better and they get protection from diseases like asthma.

However, some of the people who feel negative about this idea say that: There is less bonding between mother and child who visit day care. Thus, this weakening of parental bond can remain for lifetime. It is said that mothers come home stressed and so cannot give more time to the child. This will affect the child’s emotions and mentality. And such children may get affected with behavioural problems.

Whatever the final conclusions may be mothers must take this decision only after thinking the positives as well as the negatives. Choosing a high quality day care centre is a good option. And also, the child should get the deserved time and attention from parents. There are certain things you must inquire about the day care centre before sending your child there and they are, expertise, experience, CPR training, staff, safety measures they have taken, discipline, activities etc.

Only after inquiring about all these things a child must be sent there. This is because; after all it is the question of your child’s development, principles, academic growth and future.
