Gabrielle Reece Pregnant

Those who are were just waiting to hear the pregnancy news of Gabrielle Reece; professional volley ball player born in 1970 and author of the book BIG GIRL IN THE MIDDLE can now celebrate the news of her giving birth to a baby. This occasion gave birth to itself on 1st of January, 2008 to ring in and celebrate the New Year.

The news of pregnancy was announced by Gabrielle on 29th of June 2007 when she had crossed three months of pregnancy to the whole world through a news channel called NBC’S TODAY show. Her delivery date was set for 2nd January 2008. She kept in touch with today show to tell the woman’s out in the world as how to stay fit while you are pregnant. She always used one punch line that is “YOU ARE NOT DEAD. YOU ARE NOT FLAT. YOU ARE PREGNANT.” This punch line of hers was followed by many pregnant women and was also successful.

Baby Brody's arrival

The day arrived on 1st of January 2008 when Gabrielle gave birth to daughter Brody Jo Hamilton in Hawaii. This was reported by people magazine as bay was born to Reece and her pro-surfer husband laird Hamilton. The baby was weighted as 8 pounds, 2 ounces. Brody joins elder sister Reece viola, 4. And step sister Izabella, 12, from Hamilton’s previous marriage.

Reece's pregnancy tips

Though Reece was in the fifth month of her pregnancy, she being very fit she completed in the pro-volleyball circuit in September 2007 which was published in her website go to gabby. This news of her playing volleyball match in spite of her pregnancy shocked many pregnant women and they started asking from her tips of remaining fit during pregnancy. She gave and shared some of tips with readers of pregnancy magazine, fit pregnancy and in workout DVD she created as how she is able to remain fit in spite her pregnancy.

Because of the advice and tips given by Reece on how to remain fit while you are pregnant she was featured and shown as the cover model for the December 2007 issue of pregnancy magazine. One of the suggestions which she gave on being fit was to use dumbbells and exercise balls. The other exercise suggestion included:

(1) Quadruped body rolls
(2) Hip bridges using the ball for support
(3) Picking up the baby
(4) Bicep-triceps combo
(5) Rear delt flys to “w”
(6) Splinted 3-1 tempo sit-up on the ball

Fit pregnancy

Reece shared six moves perfect for the second trimester with pregnancy. The moves included the work of arms, butt, legs and the back. Reece completed each move and was also photographed for the same with instructions corresponding to it. Several moves needed hand weights for strength training. Some moves are included in the DVD published by her. The moves shown include:

(1) Squat and pass
(2) Pile and sweep
(3) Lunge and press
(4) Kicks on all fours
(5) Dead lift to standing press
(6) Side lying kicks
