Understanding Anaemia Prevention Symptoms

Anaemia can be explained in most simple and plain manner as a state of the human body in which, the body suffers the deficiency of red blood cells in the blood of the body. In medical terms, anaemia would mean that the quantity of the percentage of haemoglobin in the blood is lesser than the appropriate and required amount by a healthy body. Haemoglobin is an important constituent of blood because haemoglobin is the carrier of oxygen in blood cells and because of this reason, a lack or lesser haemoglobin may prove to be fatalistic. There are almost four hundred different medical or otherwise classifications of Anaemia, yet for the purpose of understanding the nature, cause and effects of anaemia, we can classify anaemia in major three categories. These three major types of anaemia can cause damaging effects on the body. Anaemia can be caused by various reason such as external bleeding, pregnancy, infection, improper dieting, chronic diseases and in some cases, people suffer anaemia because of some hereditary factors.

The three very basic types of anaemia are Vitamin B12 Anaemia, Iron-Defficiency Anaemia and Folic Acid Anaemia, it should be noted that Vitamin B12, Iron and Folic acid all are important constituents of haemoglobin.

In cases when a person fails to take proper amount of Vitamin B12, situation arises when the lesser amount of Vitamin B12 causes lesser haemoglobin and hence the person suffers anaemia. Such cases of Anaemia are termed as anaemia Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the human body so that it may generate red blood cells in the human blood. Vitamin B12 comes in the body as animal proteins. In some cases, the human stomach fails to generate those intrinsic factors or chemicals that facilitates the prevention of autoimmune disorder that may cause a deficiency in the red blood cells causing anaemia. In some cases, this type of anaemia may also be caused because of absence of smaller intestine or due to Crohn’s disease. Anaemia in general is caused because of the absence of proper proteins in the human body that are required. Thus, it is necessary to take proper diet and food like eggs, chicken, meat, fishes, pulses etc.

Some diseases like ulcerative colitis, gastritis, inflammatory bowel disease, polyps, peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal tumours and other kinds of tumours that causes blood drainage may cause anaemia. The blood drainage due to these wounds and tumours and diseases causes a deficiency of iron in the blood of human body and that results in lesser haemoglobin and hence causes anaemia. Iron rich diet such as fruits, whole-grain bread, beans, green vegetables should be taken to avoid such situations.

Fresh green vegetables should be a part of proper diet because it also provides folic acid. Leafs, plants, mushrooms and kidney beans etc provide folic acid. Elderly people or people from the very poor section often suffers the lack or absence of folic acid in their diet and they become prone to lack of haemoglobin due to lack of folic acid and that causes anaemia.
