Clogged Milk Ducts Simple Solutions To Live Pain Free

Clogged breast is very common problems that new moms experience. Mostly, the mothers who feed their babies in the nursing phase have to go through this problem o clogged breast duct. The thing that is worth noting is that it can happen at any time during this phase.

And this is not such a life threatening situation but the problem that arises is a bit complicated. The milk can not pass on freely and this may affect the way mother wants to nurse the baby. And then the blockage starts becoming severe and severe. In some cases, females find it very painful when the breast duct gets clogged. And they feel stressed as well as embarrassed and thus they do not share their health condition with others. But this problem can create other complications and before that happens, it is vital to talk to the doctor.

Many women do not even realize as to what problem they are facing. Some females feel that this is normal and will go on its own. But it is not wise enough to ignore it. Here are some of the symptoms that will bring the problem with a clear picture.

The first symptom is that the woman who is nursing the child feels quite feverish. The second symptom is the redness that occurs on the breast part. The third symptom is the pain that the woman experiences in the breast part. The fourth and the last one is that there is lump on the breast which creates soreness.

The problem is that except for topical creams and lotions to educe the redness there are not many medications that can solve this problem. The only way to get rid of a clogged breast duct is to take up some of the common home remedies. These home remedies will work and give results in sometime. You must have some patience.

  1. The bra that women wear should not be very tight. It must have a comfort fit.
  2. It is important to note that during the feeding stage women must feed the baby frequently. This will avoid built up of milk and formation of ducts in the breast.
  3. If there is excess milk then it is wise to pump it out.
  4. If you are facing problem of blocked duct then the best way to avoid it is to change the positions frequently while feeding the baby. This will keep duct clear and will avoid blocking.
  5. If the situation is worse then you have no other option but to stop feeding the baby for sometime. This is going to be a harsh decision especially if your baby is quite small and is in the infancy stage. But you have to take this decision for future wellbeing.
  6. If the problem is mild and moderate then warm compresses two to three times a day can keep the ducts cleared.

These are some of the advice which will be useful; to those mothers who face blocked and logged duct problem in the breast.
