Vaginal Birth – Birth of The Baby Through Vagina

Every woman dreams of having a child of her own and getting into the circle of women turning into mothers. As every future mother would like to deliver her own child, the choice of vaginal birth would rank as the top most choice that mothers would opt to have. Vaginal birth has so many benefits not only for the mother but also for the child. Below are the benefits of vaginal birth – birth of the baby through vagina.

Vaginal birth has been known to be a process of wonder and awe compared to abdominal birth or your caesarian section. The occurrences within this method of birth still leaves even the most brilliant medical practitioners in amazement.

  • Normally born babies who were delivered via vaginal birth are, according to research, healthier and more immunologically strong compared to those babies who were delivered via other methods such as caesarian section and especially those who were grown externally such as test tube babies.
  • Statistics have shown, not only previously but also in present times, that medically born babies tend to be delivered before their full term or intended date for full maturity.
  • Babies who have been delivered through vaginal birth have been found to contain more amounts of catecholamine, a hormone which is vital in ensuring the survival of the baby once they get delivered. This is a hormone which only gets passed on to the baby during childbirth upon stimulation of the vaginal wall passage. This is then not highly found in babies that are delivered medically or via caesarian section.
  • If a baby is born through vaginal birth, they have been found to have more lung strength and immune resistance. They have more capability to have oxygen adequately circulated to their bodies compared to those babies who were kept or manipulated in test tubes, such babies are more prone to respiratory disorders and fatigability.
  • Lastly, both the mother and child who went through vaginal birth would get an earlier expected date of discharge compared to other methods. They can easily recover and regain physical and emotional health compared to other methods. And the closeness or attachment of mother and child is stronger even in future situations when vaginal birth is chosen.
