Foster Care Adoption

In few cases the people who want to become parents step into the parenting world through foster care adoption. For few this kind or type of adoption is one of the easiest ways to become parent. While there are number of people who involve themselves in the foster care adoption without having the goal of one day adopting. While there are number of people who consider foster care a means to get a baby and care for permanently.

The process of the foster care adoption:

The foster care adoption process involves different processes compared to the typical adoption agency. This type of adoption has its own set of rules or criteria and a set of the legal steps which are required to be followed before adoption is finalized.

The responsibilities of the child welfare agency:

The following are the responsibilities of the child welfare agency:

  • To identify the placement of the child.
  • To initiate and later establish the goal of the child’s placement in a good family.
  • To offer diligent search for the birth parents of the child.
  • Begin the process of recruitment for the adoptive home.
  • To select and provide approval to the adoptive home.
  • To handle each and every service including the adoption subsidies, etc.
  • To provide all the post adoption services to the family of adoptee.

Responsibility of the state court:

The state court also plays a very significant role in the adoption process of child in the foster care. The state court must carryout the following:

  • To establish the reasons for the foster care and later allow for adoption process to start.
  • To hold an industrious hearing for the placement of the child.
  • To handle the proceedings properly and terminate the rights of the birth or biological parents of the child.
  • To handle all the proceedings of the adoption process and regulate them properly.

The goals set by the welfare agencies:

The only goal of the welfare agency is to find a best home for the child. This goal is referred to as the permanency policy, and the state court must offer a hearing to the child within twelve months he or she enters to the welfare agency.

The termination of the parental rights

Once the welfare agency has found a home for the placement of the child, then begins the process of the termination of the parental rights. In number of cases the biological parents voluntarily give their parental rights. In the other cases the parental rights are taken without parent’s consent.

The welfare agency should also search for the absent parents, as well as the few relatives.

The placement service:

The adoption process of the foster care changes from state to state, and it is really very important to check all the ins and outs of the adoption process. The adoption subsidies also provide the monetary help.

So in our opinion adoption is a great blessing to the people who can never become biological parents.
