Packing for your trip

While travelling with a toddler you would have to carry a lot of extra equipments. You have to keep some points when going out with a toddler.

• Make sure to keep all the necessary things required for a diaper bag. Keep enough clothes for changing.
• Be sure to carry a lot of snacks for your baby as babies get hungry very soon.
• Always carry some drinks to keep off the thirst of your child. Also carry some ice in an insulated box to keep your drinks cool.
• To keep your toddlers busy and entertained carry some toys and books with yourself.
• If you are having a DVD player in your vehicle then bring some cartoon films so that your toddler does not get bored.
• If you are planning for an overnight journey then always carry some sheets and blankets with you.
• Always keep your toddlers jacket with you to keep him warm at cooler nights or in air conditioned places.
• Take a sunscreen cream with you to protect the delicate skin of your toddler from sun.
• Never forget to keep the medicines if your child is taking one.

Planning ahead for travel

If you want a smoother trip you must plan your trip before going on it.

• Never plan your trip when your toddler is not felling well otherwise you are going to end up with a complete mess.
• Explain your toddler about the trip, so that he would adjust with the changed environment.
• Never wait for the child to be hungry. Always keep his stomach full.

Trips via airplane

Consider few points before you go to a trip via air plane.

• Do not purchase a ticket for toddler if he is less than two years old. However, you could purchase one if you need some extra place for you and your toddler.
• Always take some entertainment things with you like toys, books etc. of course you could not leave your toddler free to play on the air plane!
• Put the airline staff tag on the stroller of your baby.

Car rides

Most of the children get irritated if they have to sit in the car seat for a very long time. Consider the following tips if you are planning a long car trip:

• Take frequent stops within your trip to allow your toddler stretching his legs and get relaxed.
• Toddlers like to watch videos so get a DVD player for your car.
• Carry a lot of snacks with you to feed your toddler.
• To make the toddler happy make someone to sit with him in the back.
• Take some entreating things with you to keep the toddler busy.
