Maternity Motherhood And The Importance of Self Development

Motherhood is a special moment in the life of a woman. This feeling of being complete comes with the birth of a baby, though during the initial post partum period there is a feeling of elation as to the new status acquired but then as the responsibilities of bringing this new addition into the family increase so does the reality of life strikes down.

Motherhood brings along with it a new set of responsibilities like constant diaper changing sessions, most of the time it’s a sleepless night, constant anxiety and stress, breast feeding brings with it added problems like you get sore breasts there is constant feeling of helplessness and fatigue.

Though you are grateful for this wonderful creation you may not able to deal with the problem that comes along with this bundle of joy. Admitting this is the greatest problem as it is a challenge to keep your cool under such circumstances but gradually you will get accustomed to these responsibilities.

There is a solution to every problem is life all that you need to do is see it and analyze these simple problems. The things that you need to accept are that no matter what people think or what you think motherhood is exhaustible and that you will definitely get those baby blues some time or the other and accept this as a passing phase in life. You need to recognize that most of the time it is you who will have to shoulder your baby’s responsibilities as you are the mother and it is better to do this cheerfully as it might affect both yours as well as your baby’s health.

As a new mother you need to organize your time table to suit your baby’s so that you will not strain and stress yourself with undue anxiety. Seek the help of other mothers when it comes to bringing up your bundle of joy as they will have more experience than you in bringing up so they can share a tip or two which will be helpful to you when it comes to raising your baby.

Some of the tips given below will help you come out of these baby blues:

  1. You need to get a help for your household work so that you will feel less exhausted.
  2. Being a new mother you tend to get hungry quite often so the best thing is to store some pre cooked food in the freeze which can be re-heated.
  3. Due to childbirth there is a misalignment of the pelvic bones so to reduce the post partum stress you need to seek the help of a chiropractor who will help you recover faster.
  4. Keeping a stock of sanitary napkins will be of great help as you may experience heavy menstrual flow post partum.
  5. Make it a point to sleep when the baby is asleep so that you will not be stressed out and exhausted.
