Baby Shoes - Footprints of Childhood

What a wonderful feeling it is when you touch your baby’s feet. It makes you nostalgic about the way you have grown up….so in order to protect those small little tiny feet which are too sensitive and too small, baby shoes are the perfect solution to keep them safe and soft. Baby shoes are the most attractive and important part of your baby’s shopping list.

Putting shoes when the child is going through the learning experience of walking makes it little difficult for child. If your child is refraining from wearing shoes don’t force him/her to wear the shoes. Barefoot walking is also important aspect of your child’s learning curve. It is very crucial aspect of child to feel the ground he/she walks on.

Choosing shoes for the baby has to be done very carefully. Following are some of the points that should be taken into considerations while selecting the baby shoes.

  1. Flexibility, and free movement of feet is the first aspect one should look at before going for the designer or fancy shoes
  2. Heels are strict no and the shoes must be as flat as possible in order to have better grip.
  3. Weight is also one more critical aspect as it should not be too heavy for them.
  4. And last but not the least baby shoes should help in promoting your child’s way of walking.

Most frequently thought about the baby shoes are the athletic shoes as they are have nice grip and flexibility which are important for walking lessons. Infant shoes come in different variety such as color size, attraction quotient. As widely know that infants have very nice diving skills the manufacturers of shoes have also come up with aqua shoes concepts which help them in giving more grip on the slippery floors.

Again a choice has to be made by parents to go for Laces or Velcro shoes. Laces are little dangerous for the babies which have just started to learn walking as it may come in their way which can make them fall. That gave a concept of Velcro shoes which are easy for kid to wear and remove them.

Inspecting the fit of your baby’s shoes is also very important aspect. Sometimes the shoes bought few months ago become too tight for the babies. They are unable to express that feeling and so refrain from wearing it. So a regular check needs to be kept for the fitting of shoes.

You also need to refrain yourself from making your baby wear fancy shoes as at this tender age the bones are not very well developed and wearing fancy footwear will hamper the growth and development of the bones. So don’t go in for fancy footwear for your baby.

Babies after certain age tend to select the shoes themselves may be due to their sense of fashion and their taste for the colors. Letting them do that will also help in their learning experience for walking and will help them in making their own decisions.
