  • Experiencing headaches or migraines during your period.
  • Experiencing back pain during your period.
  • Periods that last longer than seven days.
  • Pelvic cramps or pain so strong they interfere with normal activities.
  • Unexplained feelings of anxiety right before periods or during periods
  • Changes of emotions during periods.

Unfortunately there are many other symptoms that can occur during menstruation. Any unusual feeling or ailment could be a sign of menstrual cycle disorders.

What Causes Menstrual Cycle Disorders

Well there are many causes to menstrual cycle disorders but most are caused by hormonal imbalances. A good rule of thumb is to see your gynecologist if menstrual cycle disorders involve a lot of pain, bleeding that doesn’t stop or anything that interferes with your normal routine. A woman should also see her doctor if her menstrual cycle abruptly changes before menopause which usually occurs around age 50.

Many menstrual cycle disorders will be caused by hormonal imbalances. These can be brought on by a wide variety of things including deficiencies of certain nutrients. This means that menstrual cycle disorders can often be treated through natural therapy and supplements.

Adopting a healthy lifestyle can often help a woman overcome menstrual cycle disorders. Smoking and stress can have some really bad effects on the menstrual cycle. Reducing stress and stopping smoking can prevent menstrual cycle disorders.

Exercise can also have a positive effect on menstrual cycle disorders. Simply walking can often make painful periods go away for example. No woman has to live with menstrual cycle disorders.
