Ovulation Cycle

Ovulation cycle is basically the period of pregnancy that is faced by reproductive age female. It is a cycle that is generally experienced by humans. But mammals, plants and some other animals that are quiet close to the looks of human also face this. This cycle is very important and necessary for reproduction. Without this it would be impossible for a female to give birth to a child. It is under the rule or you may say it as control of hormones and genes.

It is a combination of several phases such as menstruation, follicular and luteal phase. This period is a flow from follicular phase to luteal phase and this is subjective that is it is different for all woman’s. The average cycle length is assumed to be 28 days. But this is just an assumption which is proven from many experiences. But as mentioned earlier this is subjective and varies from one female to another. Due to some reactions of certain chemicals in hormones, there is a development or you may say an evolution of egg or ovary inside the female’s body. This process is called as ovulation. And because of this a woman faces the period of pregnancy. It is generally said that within two weeks of this reaction pregnancy should take place otherwise there is need for the woman to go and get her body check to a gynecologists. This cycle not only affects the hormones but also the various parts of the body.

The starting and ending of ovulation

The starting period of this cycle is approximately at the age 12at this time it is called as menarche. Where as the ending period of this cycle which is termed as menopause is at the age of 45 to 55.

Luteal phase

After the development of egg the follicle further grows into a strong structure which is known as corpus luteum. This releases large amount of progesterone which helps supports the embryonic development. This is the luteal phase also known as the secretary phase. This only happens after the development of the egg. This is the starting period of pregnancy and also a very important period.

Problems in ovulation

Many woman face the problem of not having ovulation on time. This is due to some defect in their hormone system. This is called as oligoovulation and is experienced by many. In some cases the follicular phase starts properly but due to some or the other reason is not completed or if it gets completed than it is along with some defects. If a female is suffering from this problem, than she must immediately show to a gynecologists.

Fertile period

The right fertile period is 5 days before 1-2 days of ovulation. After the 28 day cycle including the luteal phase and the follicular phase there is a start to a third week. There are hundreds of methods introduced to help a woman recognize her fertile and infertile days. This has helped lacks of woman’s. They are now finding it easy to know their fertile days.
